Notes about cold foiling business cards:
28pt card stock thickness
Colors will be metallic and any white areas will be silver, unless specifically "white blocked" in the proof.
"White Blocking" does not completely block out the foil. White areas will be slightly Ivory in color.
Black Flood Backgrounds will not completely cover the foil paper and will have "silver specks" upon closer inspection that will be further mitigated by "white blocking". This is not very noticeable, as such does not usually affect the overall effect.
EMBOSSING:
Makes focus areas pop out. The embossing process uses a female die on top of the stock and a male die on the bottom acting as the counterdie, along with heat and pressure. This metal die raises the area, making it stick up from the rest of the embossed business card.
SPOT GLOSS:
Give your cards dimension! Clear spot gloss is slightly raised on the surface of the card and can be applied to text, logos and design elements for a dynamic shine.
